All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
what does this mean in plain english-well yes we are all born equal in only our skin with no pre-conceived ideas.
dignity and rights yes at birth itself there is little dignity for the new born or for the mother-from our very first breath at birth peoples rights are never equal, this is because we are all born into varying circumstances and lifestyles of our parents.
reason and conscience-that is very interesting-maybe we are all born without the concept of reason and conscience but depending on our parents and families these concepts are ingrained into our lives not by ourselves but by others around us in our formative years.
so in article one the only word that means anything at all is”born” and maybe the spirit of brother hood to some.
although the human rights act is a law of sort-how could article 1 ever be considered to be legally proven
